For more than a decade CBC-TV meteorologist Ryan Snoddon has been challenging the status quo of weather forecasting by creatively using social media to bridge the gap between the viewer and TV personalities. His fresh perspective on delivering the weather in Atlantic Canada strengthens community and awareness. He works closely with local schools to deliver the weather unit for Grade 5 students and actively participates in fundraising initiatives. In 2017, Snoddon and his co-workers received the Best Local Newscast award for CBC’s Here and Now at the Canadian Screen Awards.
