Nathalie Younglai is a director and writer behind some of Canada’s most notable television shows and series, including season two of CBC-TV’s No. 1 new drama, Coroner, and Dino Dana, which led to Younglai earning nominations for the 2019 Canadian Screen Award and the Daytime Emmy. At the forefront of a movement for greater inclusivity in Canadian film and television, Younglai founded BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Colour) TV & Film in 2012. In 2019, she earned the Trailblazer Award at Reelworld Film Festival Toronto, empowering emerging Indigenous and racialized storytellers whose work sparks positive social change.
