Marie-Lison Fougère
Marie-Lison Fougère led a successful 32-year career within the Ontario Public Service, occupying several senior level positions.
Throughout her career, Ms. Fougère demonstrated outstanding knowledge and know-how as a public policy maker, notably in elementary, secondary and postsecondary education while in the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. She was first appointed deputy minister in 2015 and worked in this capacity until her retirement in March 2023. She served as deputy minister in different ministries, including Training, Colleges and Universities, Seniors’ Services and Accessibility, Long-Term Care, Women’s Social and Economic Opportunity, and Francophone Affairs.
Ms. Fougère is currently the chair of the board of governance of Toronto’s French-language university, l’Université de l’Ontario français. She serves as a board member for the non-profit organization, Social Research & Demonstration Corporation (SRDC), and was recently appointed to the board of Montfort Hospital in Ottawa.
Ms. Fougère holds a bachelor’s degree from Dalhousie University, and a master’s degree from York University. She is fluent in French, English and German.
Adrienne Galway
Adrienne Galway is the president and CEO of the Ontario Council on Articulation and Transfer (ONCAT) and a distinguished senior leader in post-secondary education. Her career includes work in program development and quality assurance, public relations and communications, federal and provincial government relations and strategic partnerships.
Prior to joining ONCAT, Galway spent over 10 years serving in several senior positions at George Brown College, most recently as the associate vice-president of government and external relations. Before joining George Brown, she served as the senior advisor to the Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities and as the education policy advisor to the leader of the official opposition of the government of Ontario. She has taught political science, Canadian studies and education policy at the University of Toronto and the State University of New York at Buffalo and has extensive experience working with and serving on governance boards in the university, college and not-for-profit sectors.
Galway holds a PhD in higher education from the University of Toronto.
Mary Ito
Mary Ito is a Canadian broadcast journalist who works in radio and podcasting. She currently hosts The CRAM Podcast, which highlights the innovative work of Canadian scientists and big thinkers. She also works at CBC Radio and is the former host of the CBC weekend morning show Fresh Air. Ito worked in television at TVOntario, Global Television and CFTO-TV. She volunteers with the children's charity Roots of Empathy, which runs school-based programs across Canada and in ten other countries.
Neil Lamb
Neil Lamb maintains the quality of the client service relationship through ongoing dialogue with clients to ensure that TD Global Investment Solutions fully understands clients’ current and evolving needs. He plays a strategic role at the firm, providing input to all internal stakeholders on client-related matters. He co-leads the North American Business Development and Relationship Management Team, responsible for talent management and business leadership.
Neil is also an Asset Liability Management (ALM) actuarial issue leader at the firm, where he acts as the internal specialist on actuarial and pension legislation matters and works with the ALM Team to design cost and risk mitigation strategies for pension plans.
Neil holds a B. Math. with Honours in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Waterloo.
Dianne Martin
Dianne Martin has been a nurse since 1979. She first graduated as a registered practical nurse (RPN) and later, in 1998, as a registered nurse (RN). She subsequently earned a master’s degree in leadership from Royal Roads University. She is dually registered as both an RN and an RPN.
Martin is the former chief executive officer of the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario. She has held several leadership positions, including professional practice co-ordinator at an Ontario hospital and senior policy analyst with the former Nursing Secretariat of the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
In 2016, she received the Premier’s Award, which recognizes college graduates whose achievements have made a difference in Ontario. In 2020, she was named a charter fellow of the Canadian Academy of Nursing.
The daughter of a nurse and mother to a nurse, Martin holds in the highest regard all those who devote themselves to caring for others.
Candice White
Candice White is the CEO and registrar of Skilled Trades Ontario, with more than 20 years of senior leadership experience, including the last 13 years at an executive level in the public sector. She has served as a chief administrative officer in municipal government, with prior experience in the construction and retail sectors.
Since joining Skilled Trades Ontario in 2024, Candice led the successful transition of core apprenticeship responsibilities, strengthened collaboration with industry and system partners, and advanced efforts to modernize services and improve the client experience.
Candice has a personal connection to the skilled trades, having been raised in a generational trades family and as the proud parent of a 309A electrician.
