Developmental Services Worker, 1993
Career Advisor and Owner, Career Cupid
When Christine Fader became a career counsellor to students at Queen’s University, she brought her background as a developmental services worker with her. For more than 20 years, she infused accessibility and inclusive practices into her department and in her spare time represented the disability community on two boards of directors. She was appointed by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to be a voting member of the accessibility directorate’s employment standards development committee, assisting in the creation of Ontario’s integrated accessibility standards regulation. Through her business, Career Cupid, Fader supports students applying to medical school.
