Pellegrino DeCola

Environmental Technologist, 1992
General Manager of Environmental Science, City of Belleville
When Perry DeCola was 17 years old, his father’s kidneys failed due to contaminated water from wells. Driven to understand water contamination and what needs to happen to ensure clean drinking water for all, DeCola became an expert in water. For more than 25 years, DeCola has been an instrumental part of water operations for the City of Belleville, has taught the next generations of water operators at the college in which he graduated, and teaches more than 12 different water-related courses to municipalities across the province as part of the Walkerton Clean Water Centre.
